BURGESS 5178 has been specially designed to provide excellent wet and dry electrical properties through a proprietary surface treatment. This surface conversion permits direct reaction with compatible polymer matrixes in the presence of a peroxide yielding excellent dispersion with minimum work required.
BURGESS 5178 is hydrophobic and a chemical bond between the calcined clay and the polymer exists. Dispersion characteristics also dramatically improve over non-treated counterparts. Recommended for use in ethylene/propylene rubber, and ethylene/propylene diene rubber applications.
