PLANT OPERATIONS POSITIONS

Burgess Pigment Company, a leading supplier of specialty kaolin, is seeking candidates to fill vacancies in its processing facility in Sandersville, Georgia. These full-time, nonexempt, hourly positions typically work Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 3:00PM with occasional overtime and weekend work. Selected candidates will eventually move to rotating shifts with varying work schedules.

Ideal candidates will have experience in an industrial setting and will be currently employed. A history of safe work habits and demonstrated high performance is required. The successful candidate must also be able to: work safely in a fast-paced environment; operate a front-end loader, skid steer, vacuum truck, forklift, dump truck, zero-turn lawn mower, tractor, and other tools associated with the position; communicate verbally and in writing; work well in a team setting and individually; work at heights of 120’, and meet the physical demands of the position.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

The physical demands of the position require the successful candidate to consistently work on their feet, walk, use arms and hands to handle/lift, climb stairs/steps/ladders, talk, hear, and smell. Candidate will regularly stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift up to fifty-seven pounds and occasionally lift up to seventy pounds. Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision, color discernment, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
