Whether the goal is decreasing costs by lowering TiO2 consumption or improving film properties, there’s a specific kaolin for every requirement. Burgess Pigment’s unique Thermo Optic Flash Calcined clays, OPTIWHITE, OPTIWHITE MX, and OPTIWHITE P, are specifically designed to lower TiO2 levels, control sheen for maximum matte effect, and improve tint strength, touch-up, and scrub and burnish resistance.

Hydrous kaolins have their roles in coatings also, whether it be to improve sheen or gloss with an ultra-fine particle sized Burgess No. 28, or to decrease mudcracking or improve stain and block resistance with the reinforcing properties of delaminated Thermo Glace H.
